Frequently Asked Questions
How do sessions work?
Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute consultation, followed by a diagnostic assessment before the first paid session. We then build a customized lesson plan and begin regular tutoring sessions. Parents receive session notes and updates after every meeting.
Where do sessions take place?
We offer in-home tutoring, online sessions via Google Meet, and sessions at community spaces like libraries and parks. You choose what works best for your family.
What are your qualifications?
All of our tutors are certified or degreed educators. This means they have a degree related to their subject, they are professional teachers with degrees, they are certified educators, or a mix of these. These include those completing their certification or degree at the time of hiring. They are trained in learning disabilities, neurodivergence, and culturally responsive education. Your student gets a real educator, not just someone who was good at the subject.
Do you work with students who have IEPs or learning differences?
Absolutely. Neurodivergence-inclusive design is built into every session by default. We work with students who have ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism, anxiety, and other learning differences. Accommodations are never an afterthought — they’re foundational to how we teach.
